Nominations are being accepted for the following awards:

ATCO Gas Award for Outstanding Lifetime Achievement

($2,500 cash prize) recognizes an individual artist who, over an extended period of time, has made an outstanding contribution to the arts in Edmonton.

Molson Coors Award for Excellence in Artistic Direction

($2,500 cash prize) recognizes outstanding achievement as an artistic leader in a specific arts discipline (performing, visual, literary, etc.).

Northlands Award for an Emerging Artist

($2,500 cash prize) recognizes an emerging artist who, in the early stages of his/her career, demonstrates exceptional talent and accomplishments as well as a unique artistic expression and a commitment to the arts in the Edmonton region.

Stantec Award for Youth Artist

($2,500 cash prize) recognizes a youth (grade 7-12) that excels in arts and design, shows promise as a future professional artist and is committed to the arts in Edmonton.

TELUS Courage to Innovate Award

($2,500 cash prize) recognizes an artist, arts administrator, cultural manager, group or organization that has displayed the courage to adopt a creative approach, seek continuous improvement or implement new ideas in support of artistic expression.

John Poole Award for Promotion of the Arts

(bronze sculpture designed by Edmonton artist, Catherine Burgess) recognizes a business or an individual that has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to supporting the arts.

Mayor’s Award for Innovative Support

(bronze sculpture designed by Edmonton artist, Catherine Burgess) recognizes a business that has supported an arts organization, event, project, or individual artist in a creative and original manner.

Mayor’s Award for Sustained Support

(bronze sculpture designed by Edmonton artist, Catherine Burgess) recognizes an individual, arts organization, media organization or business that has promoted the arts in a distinctly creative or exceptional manner.
